Pat Nugent

Pat has worked at SBS for the past seven years and now lead the editorial output across our Sport digital platforms.

As a journalist, Pat has covered a variety of major sporting events, including the FIFA World Cup, Tour de France and the French / US Opens.

In addition to his media experience, he has also previously worked as a tennis umpire, who has worked on some of the biggest Grand Slams around the world such as the Australian, French and US Opens. Pat has a passion for officiating and journalism and easily emphasises with officials.

Pat is a graduate of the Australian Sports Commission’s, National Officiating Scholarships and knows what it takes both on and off the arena as a high-performance official.
